Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Weymouth is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Weymouth follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is the best shop I have ever used. I brought my Mini here last year for an inspection and failed for a ball joint, and they brought me in and showed me what was going on. Although I ended up doing those myself, the experience during the inspection left a real impression on me - many years ago I started doing my own repairs after numerous bad experiences with shops, and it was refreshing to see how honest, kind, and transparent they were. Fast forward to this summer, and I was noticing some consistent noises in my suspension and couldn’t pin it down, while also planning a wedding in another country. I brought my car in, they figured it out quickly and showed me where the problem was on the lift - both control arms had a failure on the inner ball joint which connected to the subframe, and the control arms themselves would need to be swapped. This isn’t exactly an easy job on these cars, as you often have to drop the subframe or at least lower it, as I did about 3-4 years ago. As I was getting ready to leave for the wedding, I spoke with them about having it repaired and leaving it there while I was away and would pick it up when I returned - and they said of course, not a probl

Absolutely outstanding experience at JRJ Tire & Service! I got my wheel balancing and a full service done here, and the team was incredibly thorough. They carefully inspected everything while I waited and only recommended the maintenance my car genuinely needed, engine oil, brake fluid, and coolant and some break parts. They used only OEM Mercedes-grade parts and fluids, and even showed me everything they were using, which gave me a lot of confidence. Their honesty, transparency, and communication are second to none. 10/10 service, 10/10 communication, 10/10 turnaround time, and 10/10 quality with genuine OEM parts. I live in Somerville, but I’ll happily drive 40 minutes every time because these guys take better care of my car than most dealerships. Highly recommended! 10/10

The team works great together! When they moved from Marshfield to Weymouth recently we were very disappointed. However, we decided to travel to Weymouth and keep getting our auto service with JRJ . Jimmy provided expert advice and was very honest about safety when my steering suspension required replacement. They also replaced my front breaks, got an oil change and were willing to install a new front bumper for me. All in one day! I would highly recommend; call JRJ for your auto service needs. Thanks again!

If you’re looking for an honest, reliable mechanic — STOP scrolling and go to JRJ Tires and Automotive. Jimmy and his team are seriously the best. I brought my car in for an inspection sticker and it failed because of a check engine light. They didn’t just slap a quick fix on it — they took the time to properly diagnose the issue and ended up finding SIX different things that needed attention. They explained everything clearly, fixed it all quickly, and got me back on the road stress-free. Fast, efficient, thorough, and genuinely trustworthy. Jimmy truly cares about his customers and it shows in the quality of their work. It’s rare to find a shop like this. Highly, highly recommend!
